I bring a dedicated and empathetic approach to therapy. Together, we will embark on a journey to explore your unique experiences and challenges, employing evidence-based practices and personalized strategies to support your individual growth, healing, and resilience. These include Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and mindfulness. My commitment is to provide a safe, non-judgmental space where you can feel heard, understood, and empowered to make meaningful changes in your life.

My goal is to ensure we establish that connection, making your path to growth and self-discovery a collaborative and supportive experience. I received my M.Ed from the University of New Mexico in 1992 and have taught students in inner-city schools, rural schools, private schools, and homeschool co-ops. I homeschooled my neurodivergent children for a few years and worked with students with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) as an ABA therapist and paraeducator. After a career in Education, I returned to graduate school and received my MACP from The Seattle School of Theology and Psychology in 2024. I am trained in relational psychodynamic therapy, trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT), Yoga Calm, BAL-A-VIS-X movement therapy, and ADHD/ASD. I have experience helping clients reduce symptoms of anxiety and depression. I use a developmentally appropriate, person-centered approach with a strong focus on attachment theory as well as a love of games to build a therapeutic relationship while integrating art, rhythm activities, and mindfulness activities to strengthen self-regulation and resilience.
I currently work with children, youth, and young adults ages 8-22. I see young children in person in my office. I can meet with pre-teens, teens, and young adults in person or via telehealth. I am married with two young adult children. I have walked through grief and loss many times and know how hard it can be to find “normal” again. I have raised two neurodivergent children with many learning challenges. I know what it is like to sit in an IEP meeting both as a mom and a teacher. I am also a proud mom of a non-binary child. I enjoy knitting, doodling zentangles, and adding more books to my Kindle. I consider myself a nutrition nazi and enjoy cooking healthy gluten-free meals for my family.

I am a Licensed Social Worker Associate Independent Clinical (LSWAIC) working toward full clinical licensure. My educational background includes a Bachelor of Social Work (BSW), Master of Social Work (MSW), and a Master’s degree in Education with a counseling focus.
I bring many years of experience working with school-aged children from preschool through high school. Throughout my work in school-based counseling and social work, I have grounded my practice in the Strengths Perspective, guided by the belief that every individual possesses unique strengths and talents that can support healing and growth.
I regularly utilize motivational interviewing and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to help individuals navigate negative thought patterns and develop healthier coping strategies. In addition to my work with children and adolescents, I have experience supporting adults, including work in hospice, end-of-life care, and grief support.
I value diversity and cultural responsiveness as essential components of effective therapeutic work. I am deeply committed to providing a nonjudgmental, compassionate space where individuals can safely explore challenges, build resilience, and move toward meaningful personal growth.
