I received my M.Ed from the University of New Mexico in 1992 and have taught students in inner-city schools, rural schools, private schools, and homeschool co-ops. I homeschooled my neurodivergent children for a few years and worked with students with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) as an ABA therapist and paraeducator. After a career in Education, I returned to graduate school and received my MACP from The Seattle School of Theology and Psychology in 2024.  I am trained in relational psychodynamic therapy, trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT), Yoga Calm, BAL-A-VIS-X movement therapy, and ADHD/ASD. I have experience helping clients reduce symptoms of anxiety and depression. I use a developmentally appropriate, person-centered approach with a strong focus on attachment theory as well as a love of games to build a therapeutic relationship while integrating art, rhythm activities, and mindfulness activities to strengthen self-regulation and resilience. 

I currently work with children, youth, and young adults ages 8-22. I see young children in person in my office. I can meet with pre-teens, teens, and young adults in person or via telehealth. I am married with two young adult children. I have walked through grief and loss many times and know how hard it can be to find “normal” again. I have raised two neurodivergent children with many learning challenges. I know what it is like to sit in an IEP meeting both as a mom and a teacher. I am also a proud mom of a non-binary child. I enjoy knitting, doodling zentangles, and adding more books to my Kindle. I consider myself a nutrition nazi and enjoy cooking healthy gluten-free meals for my family.
